Contest Entry - Spring in the middle of a desert

Hi!~
This is my first contest entry to a spring contest in
I never took part in any contests so far, so I'm nervous like hell XD
It was had with the beginning of picture's mood and color scheme to background of the pic.
I had a hell going through the BG and I'm still not pleased with it, I sure need more practice in it ^^"
Anyway!
Here you can see Sabo and OC from Scars story - Lily, the head achiever of Baltigo. Don't misunderstand, I don't ship them XD well, maybe a little
They knew each other from their childhoods, at least from the moment Sabo appeared at Baltigo. They are friend since then and he often goes to her archive to sleep or to spent some time to think calmly.

The first one:

The second one:

I have never had a younger sister.
As a child I thought that a lot better to have brothers than sisters because girls always cried, were malicious and offended. At least among the nobility, I could only see these girls and it seemed normal to me.
When I first met Lily, I thought that she was not much different from them. Not only that she was younger than me for four years - and then it seemed very important to me – she was always running after me, she was too weak and defenseless. Since then not too much has changed, but at one point I realized that I wanted to protect her. She's like all of us not just here. Not just because she was born here. Now it seems to me that this is the best thing I could do for her.
We sat under a cherry tree for an hour, talking and looking at the newly blooming flowers. These flowers mark the beginning of spring and spring has always been like the beginning of something new. Not only the beginning of a new season, but the change in the minds and hearts of people.
When Lily fell asleep on my shoulder, I chuckled. Despite everything, she was still quite a normal girl, but this time it amused me for some reason.
I picked up the little cherry blossom and without even thinking about what I do and taking care not to disturb her sleep, wove a thin stalk in her hair. Bright pink flower in her hair looked better than any expensive jewelry and I sat down again to my seat, leaning back with satisfaction on the mighty trunk of a tree and closed my eyes.
There was a light warm breeze and it carried the smell of change, which is cannot be mistaken with anything in this world. I knew that soon something big was to happen.
