Okay, here it is. The almost deep enough profile for my baby. I know it isn't perfect. But I had her for as long as I had Meg and I respect her a lot as a independent character. I did mention a lot of relationships in there but please mind that it's a character profile, not a relationship post. I might go into details if asked.

Mother:  A former pirate, Bernardita Battista [img] left infant Serafina at Marineford to protect her child and her legacy. She's a very sturdy woman, who is now settled at her home Island of Tollan keeping an apothecary. Being reunited with her daughter after more than 25 years of separation didn't change her character to the best. They have a very complicated relationship, but being with her grandchildren softens her heart a lot. Alike Fina, she possesses brutal physical strength, but not as much as her daughter. Has rather calm personality and smokes a lot.
Father: Never spoken about, all Fina knows that he was a notorious pirate, who caused a lot of ruckus in the New World during the Golden Age of piracy and was pursued by WG and tenryuibitos and executed by them, so her mother had to flee with little Fina in her hands. 

Children: 

Marcela Battista: Serafina's younger daughter [img]. Actually she and her brother have a few minutes difference, but she's still considered a younger one. Much like her mother and grandmother she inherited brutal physical strength. She's very shy and awkward to strangers, but due to her kind-heart personality she overcomes that fast. She has quiet manner of speaking and is mostly calm and collected, unlike her brother. She loves her mother very much and treasures the hat Fina gave her when she was about 3 y.o. She intentionally tries to suppress her strength but it makes it only worse, so she often has "slips" which turn into rage attacks, when she can beat up her opponent and bring immense destruction to her surroundings. Only her brother can calm her in those moments. She does cry a lot when upset or afraid. 
Miguel Battista:  Serafina's elder son [img]. Self-proclaimed protector of his sister, he possesses a lot less of the exceptional family power, but still is a very sturdy child. He's loud and outgoing and surprisingly popular with town girls. Being the only "man" of his family, he's very protective, thrifty and level-headed. But taking after his mom, he's quite short-tempered. He often misses her but tries to take care of the family in her absence. He secretly trains with his grandmother to become strong. Lacking a fatherly figure, he is sometimes very rude and harsh on others, but so much tsundere when it comes to being praised. Is afraid to seem powerless or intimidated, so rarely cries and tries to suppress his overwhelming emotions.

Other relationships:

Donquixote Rosinante - her first and only best friend with whom she started a relationship later. She'd known him since she was 6, when he was taken in by Sengoku and he was the first person to befriend her, even though not without some difficulties and time. They basically grew up and experienced a lot together going through marine training. She was always there to comfort him while he was her conscience and voice of reason. Having a strong bond over the years resulted in developing a romance interest during their late teenage years. They continued keeping in touch secretly during his infiltration on occasions, she often went after Doflamingo pirates according to data given. Rarely they met incognito, if something was needed - once she helped him with money and hospital enlisting while he was already with Law.
Monkey D. Garp - her former instructor. She was one of the first persons to even survive his training to become a "powerful marine". They relationship started rough since he didn't want any brat in his service, especially the one who destroyed everything she touched. But over time he grew accustomed to her presence and fully became her mentor, being one of the few persons who could reason with her power with "Fists of love". She'd taken after him a lot and considers him as an uncle. She values his opinion a lot and respects him as a marine.
Smoker - as a colleague and a friend, he shares a lot of same interest as Fina and they've known each other since a long time. Both like to share a drink sometimes and Serafina respects him a lot, being a bit envious of his DF. They used to train a lot during the timeskip and he made her smoke again. She admires that he administers G-5, though his obsession with Mugiwara Pirates makes her laugh a little.
Hina - they weren't that close during teenage years, but after returning to her post, they started to share more interest with each other. For a reason Fina enjoys a company of another female marine, especially almost her age. She often sneaks to Hina's office to have some coffee, and tho Hina might be displeased being distracted, they love to talk to each other and do the paperwork together.
Akainu - her superior and one of the former role-models, and now her boss, Akainu earned his share of respect in her mind. Even though she never liked him personally, she still understands that he's the goal she should achieve and a person who's respect she should earn. That's highly problematic since after her returning, both have kept a close eye on each other and he refuses to give her a desired promotion to keep her in control.
Coby and Helmeppo - Being her mentor new students, they have they share of attention from Fina, who likes to visit them and test out their ability from time to time. She adores Coby with his growing ambition and justice sense. Her attitude to them is mostly indulgent which they are mostly to shy to accept. 
Trafalgar D. Water Law - Being acquainted in a few meetings they shared, their relationship is very vague. Though Fina blames herself for not keeping an eye on him in the past, she does that nowadays, monitoring his activity. He believed her to be dead for too long, so he's growing mostly suspicious of her presence on the fleet. Even if they shared an understanding but tough relationship in the past, too much time had passed. She feels deep concern for him though and blames herself for not being around, knowing they still share same pain from 13 years ago.
Donquixote Doflamingo - it would be too much to said they are a type of sworn enemies, but they were set that way even before Rosinante even left for infiltration. She has almost purely bestial desire to tear him apart every time she sees him, especially hating the fact that he's still alive, while the person she held most dear is dead. In her youth she chased the Donquixote pirates a lot and they had their share of fights, resulting in more than few scars on her body. She was one of the few persons to even brutally punch him and be able to fight with and that's why he call her "scary woman". Now being a Shichibukai he enjoys to annoy her a lot knowing she can't do anything about it and lay a finger on him.
Vergo - hates his guts after her incident, also believing he was one at fault of Rosinante's death. Hides her hate to protect her family, so maintains fair distance from him, trying to avoid him and yet not raise any unwanted suspicion towards herself. Finds his false innocence and justice very much annoying as well as attempts to have a conversation with her or dig out something to blow up her cover for the time being. Would gladly kill him without any mercy but Law did it first.

Personality:

Positive traits +

• Independent - Serafina hates to be dependent or be ordered around. She enjoys the liberty to take her own actions, which is one of the qualities higher-ups dislike in her. Though that ability of operating alone and making quick decisions makes her very mobile and unpredictable. She has a sharp mind and her experience helps her operate with most efficiency in the New World.
  
• Compassionate - She understands the suffering of others very well and can't stand it. She's always eager to help and protect those who need it, that still is reason number one she's a marine. Fina is emphatic and even though her understanding not always finds polite ways of being shown, she's eager to do anything to comfort a person. 
  
• Reliable - if something is trusted upon her, it'll most likely be done with all effort it'll take. She never goes back on an agreement and is very trustful person. She's well respected among the marines because of that even despite her behavior. She's always up to prove that she can do what is expected of her, the other thing being the ways she chooses for that.
  
• Just - has a very strong tho peculiar sense of justice. She tries to be just in what she makes and follows the inner code she's set, so her conciseness can be at ease. Though usually she can tell right from wrong and behave as justice associate in the most situations and can easily calm all the quarrels of her subordinates. 
  

Negative traits -

• Erratic - her independence and choleric nature makes her behavior very much eccentric. She is hard to predict - that's why she can't get a proper promotion. She has a peculiar mindset not every person can handle and understand, much like her former mentor - Monkey D. Garp.
  
• Vengeful - never forgets insults, rudeness, or someone hurting people she loves. Much like an outraged lion will she seek revenge on those people sooner or later, with all she's got. It's highly unlikable she'll just forget something or forgive her enemy.
• Reckless - From her youth on she never truly understood the limit of her own abilities, the overwhelming physical strength made most of her battles pretty reckless, even out of good or altruistic intentions. She doesn't know how to hold back and now, sadly, there's no one to stop her from running into trouble.
  
• Ruthless - when outraged or dealing with criminals she knows no mercy. No pity is shown to her fiend, that's why she's notoriously called "a scary woman" by many pirates, acquainted with her on the battlefield. In a cruel world such as she lives in the stronger survives, and she is not taking second chances and let herself being devoured by it.
  

Abilities

Haki:

• Kenbunshoku Haki - awaken in her first serious battle experience as a child. Became sophisticated in it with help of her mother in her adulthood though, but had the basis and standard level taught to her at the fleet prior to her absence. 
  
• Busoshoku Haki - used for both offence and defense, that's the preferable type of haki Fina uses. Awakening it later than Mantra, forced her to press herself over the edge with training it. Since she doesn't harden objects, she mastered hardening of her body with it, especially parts she usually strikes with. Training over the years and training to get promoted to vice admiral made her even more formidable than before, allowing her to effectively fight fruit-users. 

Weapons:

• Rokushiki - due to her physical abilities, that was the first thing she mastered as a marine apprentice. Taught by Garp, she survived rigorous training to excel at all six of the techniques. Adding her born with physical strength, she's a serious opponent to ever go on a hand to hand fight.

Devil Fruit:

• Although she doesn't have any fruit, Serafina searches for one, finding it necessary to gain the position of an Admiral. 
  

History

Childhood:
0-4
Serafina was born into a family of notorious pirate, who was executed short before her birth by the world government. Her mother, fleeing from the punishment she and her newborn would suffer, hid the baby in the most logical place - at the Marine HQ island of Marineford. It wasn't a rare or strange occasion, since there were a lot of orphans at any moment. The baby had a letter attached to her, stating her name: Serafina. 
She happened to be a really lovely baby and a really lucky one - people who found her decided to keep her and collectively take care of, as of a kitten. There was always a different person caring for her so she didn't have someone to fully attach to. Soon it was discovered that she had crazy physical strength - the baby basically broke everything it touched and didn't know how to deal with her power. Neither knew her caretakers, so she soon turned in a mess no one knew how to deal with. 
One day however, she met the fist of love in her face for misbehaving - and that was the first and only thing that would stop her from causing havoc. People understood that very quickly and got her to be a chore girl in Garp's care. That costed them a lot of effort, since the marine hero didn't want any brat hanging around him all the time. She was juridical in his care, but honestly she just moved to common barracks where other orphans were situated. 
Being practically left on her own, she felt immensely lonely, not being able to fully communicate with her previous caretakers and being excluded by the elder kids. She was very active and attention and approval seeking brat - she tried to get attention by demonstrating her power, but just earned disdain and dislike from other children. She was younger and she was different from them, she didn't know how to properly behave or make friends - nobody was there to proper teach her to. Garp didn't show much interest in her, since he was busy catching Roger, they rarely met on occasions and usually he just sent her flying around. Such thing made her desperate - she took up every single task there was on the base to make herself occupied, to maybe get some praise, she really did her best to do so. She slowly became a laughing stock because of that. Many children tried to bully her, since she was an outcast, but she soon learned how to fight back. That left a negative imprint of her image as a rude, hyperactive and aggressive child, beating others for nothing. She was very quick-tempered and violently responded to bullying almost immediately. 
6-10
She started to read a lot to feel less lonely sometimes and soon grew accustomed to be on her own. Having no parental figures in her life at that moment, she started looking on the Marine higher-ups and even imitated some of them out of fun. Since she was too young to be ever enlisted to marine service, she started out as a chore girl by the age of 6 and that was the moment when she first met Rosinante. 
She knew every new face to the facility and as she usually did, tried to be friendly with him, before any of other children could tell him stories about her. He was a very quiet child unlike her, and actually her loud and chaotic behavior scared him a lot. She soon found out he was also bullied by the elder boys, because of his behavior, physical weakness. Also being in Admiral's favor wasn't a nice thing to add to the list. He was a weak crybaby everyone could laugh and abuse, since he couldn't respond right to it. Learning this, Fina decided to just beat the bullies, but that didn't have a good effect either. Since they thought he's friends with her, it made becoming a part of their society even more hard for him. Despite Fina's naive attempts to help Rosinante with whatever he was doing to gain his friendship only irritated him, so he kept on the behavior everyone was practicing: ignored and insulted her from time to time. Seeing this changeable behavior of his, she was very confused, cause he didn't seem like kind of a person capable of such actions. Considering this being a last straw, she didn't give up of befriending him in her weird way and even if he didn't respond to it the way she wanted, being around cheered her up and she felt less lonely. 
After about a year of this odd relationship he learned more about her as a person, seeing beyond the gossips and scary stories he grew fond of her since she was a type of person he never saw himself being and she was there to help out and cheer him, even knowing he won't respond.
From few words to sudden conversations and book exchange, they became friends even when the others didn't approve of that. She still beat up anyone who dared to hurt her first and only friend and acted protective, but also Rosinante grew more confident of himself while starting his training. Both were clumsy and awkward in different ways, but helped each other out during the training. Fina also started hers, annoying Garp enough to set her to a survival course. Sharing the experiences on a daily basis and helping out with studies, they grew used to each other quite soon. 

Teen years:
12-16
Growing up Fina showed exceptional success in her training and quickly got promoted. She also got less annoying, started to be more outgoing and sympathetic to others. Her power became more of an advantage than a burden and she was less awkward in her surroundings. She started being approved by the higher-ups and grew more confident and even cocky, hitting her puberty. Actually taking parts in battles and sieges, being around on missions with Garp made her grow up pretty soon both physically and psychically. She began to mature and her character began to truly form, making her a little bit more bitterer, discovering the true cruelty of this world. That's when she decided to become truly strong and be a great justice ally and a good marine. Even though she and Rosinante remained best friends, she made a lot of acquaintances and friends among new marine recruits. Her cheerful personality and born leadership qualities attracted people to her, which she found very much surprising and didn't truly know how to handle. She also surprisingly discovered that she started to grow quite attractive as a girl. She had some romantic admirers, but due to her temper they didn't last long or either didn't qualify so she just gave up, giving her advice help and consolation to Rosinante who grew very popular with the girls with time.
17-20
Being trusted with more serious paperwork and subordinates, she became more mature and a little bit more calm than before. She finally began operation on her own, being on long-term missions more often. Spending more time separate made her realize that she quite misses her friend and slowly she also started to see how much both of them have grown. She slowly and awkwardly developed deep feelings for the only person who was there for her most time of her life and who knew her better than herself. That resulted in a very awkward and blundering behavior of both of them, since both weren't sure it was mutual and didn't want to lose a friend due stuff like that. After one serious battle she finally gave up on denying and hiding things to herself, but actually he did confess to her first. They didn't start to go out or something like that, maintaining the close relationship they had before, but in a more deep way now. Both had goals in their life, especially when Donquixote pirates became known and Rosinante went to infiltrate the organisation. Understanding the importance of his mission, Fina did her best to get quickly promoted and aid him with stopping his brother as a Marine.

Early adulthood:

21-24
Being a captain laid a lot more responsibility to her than ever before. She was one of the promising youngsters and chased pirates like crazy. Keeping in touch through Den-Den Mushi, she gained data to pursue the Donquixote Pirates and successfully fought them many times, even if it was meaning fighting with Rosinante alias Corazon. She showed no mercy and was really reckless in fight what resulted for her being captured once and be at the edge of death the other time, bleeding from a cut under her breasts left by Doflamingo stings. She was very persistent in fighting, though they weren't her main goal and they met occasionally, when she was near them.
She gained a lot of admirers and  finally established semi-normal relationship with Garp, who accepted her after all those years. During the three years of Rosinante's mission, they kept in touch during Den-Den Mushi and sometimes on rare occasions, when possible, she went to see him under cover and was quite creative in hiding her identity. When he left with Law, she somehow helped with enlisting in hospitals and some money, and visited them a few times to cover up another hospital visit. That's where she made acquaintance with Law and even though they didn't instantly get along, her compassion melted his attitude. He somehow made her discover a lot of motherly attitude towards him and question herself about even having children in the future. They parted on friendly terms last time she had seen him.
Her unit was assigned to Minion island siege for Ope-Ope fruit and she witnessed the birdcage appearing, without knowing the event that occurred at the island. During the battle with Doflamingo she was knocked unconscious and learned about Rosinante's death after being awake at the HQ.
The news left her raged and shocked, she couldn't even comprehend them at first. Vergo, who "happened" to fish her out of the water and be her savior, tried to calm her, but due to a almost unnoticeable slip of his tongue, raised her suspicions to the maximum, which resulted in her inadequate behavior toward him. Even though everyone thought she's just shocked, digging a little into her personal info he understood she might be connected to Corazon hence might know something she shouldn't. 
Which resulted in an incident with her ship blown up and everyone believing her to be dead. She survived pure with her haki sensing the danger and thus avoiding it using Sora.
25-30
Actually not only did she survived thanks to her exceptional health, but decided to hide for the time being, accidentally learning about her early pregnancy. Being set in a very dangerous and peculiar situation, for the good of her unborn child she decided to hide herself. With no one to turn to and with her beliefs and life shaken, she decided upon one impossible thing: finding her family. In her youth, when she and Rosinante sneaked up in the archive once, she discovered the letter with her name to be a vivre-card. Even if she didn't feel any connection with her real family, she still kept it with her all the time. Counting on pure luck and having no one to turn to, she spent a lot of time sailing around New World, till it brought her to the island of Tollan. 
She discovered her mother Bernardita, who wasn't glad to have her daughter back and sure would have her kicked out, if Serafina wasn't about to go into labor. Giving birth to a son and a daughter, she demanded to stay at her mother's place to care for them. Bernardita was burning indignant that Fina just added her more trouble and even came to reunite with her in the first place. They were on bad terms due to Fina's temper and overwhelming depression from all the stress happening to her prior of that moment. Seeing her daughter like that and helping her to care for the children and cope, they initially came to understand each other more or less. Bernardita took her in into the apothecary to help her out and taught her all she knew about herbs. Working and keeping herself occupied helped her to keep herself together and discover qualities she never thought she possessed.
Growing up Miguel and Marcela showed the exceptional strength, what turned out to be their family trait and both Fina and her mother had to learn dealing with that also. Seeing her children grow calmed and slowly healed her, making her care for them so they would never feel the loneliness she did when she was a child. She turned out to be a good mom, coming closer to her own mother through the children, who both took a lot after their father. 

Adulthood:

30-35
Living a peaceful life with her new family and occasionally travelling made her see a lot of the world from the inside and experience the life of an ordinary person she never had. Contemplation lead her to question her life choices and goal in life anew. She was sure happy with her family, but wanted to protect them at all costs. Knowing she won't be able to hide forever, especially since she was a person of action, she feared she was too weak and shuddered at thought she won't be able to protect whats dear to her again. She asked her mother to help her with that and begin a rigorous training to get back in shape. With the world growing more and more unstable, especially New World, she felt the New Age approach and decided that the only thing she can do to give her children some proper protection - is to come back to her marine service and at least have the island under her jurisdiction.
She connected HQ, stating herself alive but having amnesia until recently, willing to go back immediately. With much scandal going around her comeback and suspicion that it arose, she was still accepted because of upcoming war with Whitebeard, where every soldier was needed. Being back also meant being lowered in her rank, but that didn't bother her much. It costed her time and effort gaining back the trust and respect of people she knew.
After the war resulting in such a way and hurting her former mentor that much and Sengoku's resignation, despite many doubts she sworn her loyalty to new Fleet Admiral Akainu.

35- 37 
During the timeskip she made crazy progress cutting it to the Vice Admiral position. Even though not without difficulties she became quite popular and known for her good orator and leadership qualities. She completely drowns in her work, coming to Tollan only for vacation to see her children. She actually hides their existence for now, when Vergo and Doflamingo are still around.She's very loyal and effective and currently runs one of the marine bases in the New World. Also after a long while she finally saw Law in person, when he was appointed to be a Shichibukai and had kept her eye on him ever since.
